Department Name: Logistics
Reports to: Country Manager
Office Location: Bagram, Kandahar, Leatherneck

Position Purpose: Station Manager’s main responsibility is to manage the Move One operations, staff and assets of the station.

Responsibilities/Duties/Function Tasks:

Plan and direct the daily operations/activities of the Move One station
Manage the Move One assets (MHE, compound)
Review the standard operating procedures and implement corrective actions if needed
Manage staff, plan RnR rotations, arrange necessary training of personnel and maintain optimal number of staff
Maintain client relations, target new possible clientele
Review company safety and quality control procedures, implement changes if needed
Minimize overhead costs, optimize efficiency
Report to country manager

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years field experience in Afghanistan
Strong English skills (written and verbal)
Proficiency in MS Office applications and familiarity with web-based applications
Minimum 2 years experience in management
Special Position Requirements:

Posting at a base in Afghanistan is generally considered to be politically, socially or otherwise unstable. This posting therefore presents a high personal risk level to the employee.
Must be in good physical condition and be able to work long hours and perform a wide range of physical work
Criminal Record Certificate
Valid driving license

Preferences:

Sales background, preferably in the field of logistics
CAC card holder

Work Requirements:

Work effectively as a team leader, work well under pressure and able to work long hours while in the field
Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers
Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations
Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision
